SINGING. Just got and update from Amy Crofford (Haiti Literature Coordinator) on the progress for kids camp materials in Haitian Creole. Several kids made the recordings (including Rebecca Maître and Anne-Daelle Pierre shown at left) that will be used in this project. The fun part of it for us was that they used Linda's old office at our house as a recording studio!
Here`s more from Amy`s note : "Quilts and blankets provided soundproofing. An IV stand held the hanging mike for the accoridian player. The other four mikes were taped onto the legs of an upside down wooden stool placed on top of a short filing cabinet. Even so, the recording was done. James Arbaugh provided the sound equipment and technical know-how. Jean Robert Maitre played the accordian. Anne-Daelle Pierre, Joanna Pierre, Rebecca Maître, Esther Maître, and Lydie Maitre provided the vocals for twenty-seven songs and choruses. This CD will accompany the songbook Chan Timoun Yo(Kids Songs)."
