REOPENING SCHOOL. We have received approval from our Regional Director, John Smee to reopen the Bible College on March 22. Of course, this will depend on the country remaining "stable." This is good news!
The Stargel's little blog. Updated haphazardly...
Not necessarily the news! Just general chit-chat about what's going on with the Stargels!

WELCOME CROFFORDS! Received word last night that we have a new missionary family assigned to Haiti. We are looking forward to working with Greg and Amy Crofford, who have served in Benin for several years. At the end of their current furlough, and assuming the situation in Haiti has calmed down a bit, they will be coming this summer. They are being assigned to the Bible College! Greg will be working to develop our new extention program! YAY!!
The Croffords are Greg and Amy, with sons John and Bradley.

NORTH CAROLINA. Well, this was supposed to be a tour of North Carolina for all four stargels, but it has turned out to be just me. Since we are now on "extended furlough" the kids are staying in school, and I'm traveling solo again. Had a great time at Pineville Nazarene on Saturday night and two services Sunday morning. Then Sunday evening it was off to Albemarle for evening service. I look forward to a day off tomorrow, and I'm having a nice visit with my ol' buddy Stan Davis and family here in Winston-Salem.

(NEW) HOMEWARD BOUND. Tomorrow we move into our new home. After we received news that we would be staying stateside through the kids' school year, we had to hurry up and find a new place to live! We found a nice little house not too far from our current place, and tomorrow is moving day. Several guys from Warren Woods Naz are coming over at 10:00 to help us move! Thanks in advance! Drop us an E-Mail if you need to know our new address!
EASTERN MICHIGAN TOUR. During this hectic week, with everything happening in Haiti, it has been nice to be touring close to home. A week ago Sunday we started our tour of the Eastern Michigan District, and I must say it is nice to be home each nice after service! We especially enjoyed our weekend at Plymouth Nazarene for Faith Promise! Six years ago we spent our furlough in one otheir vacant parsonages. It was a nice homecoming!

STARGELS NOT IN HAITI. We had hoped that the situation in Haiti would be stable enough for us to keep our scheduled return date to Haiti (March 30). However, we just got word today that we will be on extend leave through the school year. The situation in Haiti is still very volatile, and the decision was made in order to allow all the Mks (missionary kids) to have a more stable end to their school year. So, we will be staying in the Detroit area through May, at least. Please continue to pray for us as we figure out housing issues, since we have to be out of our current place on March 18th!
