TO HAITI AND BACK. Many have asked how the Haiti crisis is affecting us. On Friday, the General Church ordered missionaries out of Haiti. I made a quick trip back to help close up the Bible College, get a few things from our house, and prepare salaries for our 50 workers. I left at 4:30 on Monday morning. It was a whirlwind three days, and I have to say it was difficult for me to leave. Our Haitian brothers and sisters are more than capable of carrying on the work in our absence, and I pray that God will use this time to strengthen his church!

I was careful to check with all of my contacts in Haiti before making the trip. I felt the prayers of so many of you! Thanks to all of you!

A special thanks to Martha Bean and her help with my deputation schedule in Kentucky!

So what next? I wish I knew the answer to that question. For the time being we are continuing our home assignment schedule. If things settle down quickly, we hope that we will be able to return to Haiti on time, March 31st. If not, we will remain in the Detroit area and let the kids finish their school year here.
