BECCA UPDATE. Well the news wasn't what we wanted to hear yesterday. Becca's test showed that her uriters are still swollen. They have an appointment to see a pedicatric urologist on Monday to help us figure out how to proceed. Scott is still in Haiti until July 14th. Thank you for your prayers.
The Stargel's little blog. Updated haphazardly...
Not necessarily the news! Just general chit-chat about what's going on with the Stargels!

LINDA AND KIDS TO THE STATES. I dropped off the family at the airport this morning. Early flight out to Florida with two days visiting Seth and Dorothy Walters before heading on to Michigan. They will be with Linda's mom (Helen Basler) for a few weeks. Becca is scheduled for a medical procedure on Thursday. She has been on antibiotics for a year and it's time to see if everything worked out as planned. Please pray for these guys!

TENNESSEE CALLING. It was good to hear from Becky Hancock of the Tennessee District. They are making plans to host us for a series of services in February 2004. Amazing how close that seems. We'll be stateside December 2003 through March 2004. Looks like it is going to be an interesting schedule with trips to South Carolina, Western Canada, Iowa, Tennessee, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, and Florida!
MORE PIGS! Yesterday morning Linda got us all up early enough to catch some new deliveries. The two guinea pigs we are caring for quickly became 5! Krista had four babies, but only three survived. Two are doing really well, and one is sluggish, but hopefully will make it. Kids enjoyed watching the birth (yuck!) of the last two.

SUMMER SESSIONS. Summer classes started last week with 14 registered for the Introduction to Greek course. It is encouraging to see so many of our recent diploma graduates coming back to complete their bachelor's degree.
PIGS! We are babysitting two guinea pigs for a friend. The idea was to convince the kids they didn't need any (like when they babysat a parrot and decided parrots were too noisy!) Unfortunately, guinea pigs don't have any such negative character traits, so we're all enjoying them; except the cat who has mistaken them for rats.

Nicolas watches over our two guests as they explore the front yard for the first time.
